We had such a blast at our Fall mixer. Packed house and lots of new faces! Thank you to those that took the time to give feedback about the event to your hosts, we really appreciate it and love that you had a great time.
We viewed some incredible Member submitted films - congrats to the audience choice winners of the evening! 1st prize went to Jerry Gonzalez for his wildly entertaining film The Spaghetti Man.
Here is a photo gallery of the night - Please be sure to download a few and share them on all of your favorite social handles (including LinkedIn!) Don't forget to tag @martinishotchicago and @mainstagechicago, and give a photo credit to the talented @wdavisphoto. Also, huge thanks to our sponsors for this event - the beloved Music Box Theater and also the reliable Core SWX, along with our friends at Mainstage Chicago!
What's next? Another event, we suppose!!
How about January? Cool. We will get right on it!
In the meantime, Martini Shot could use your support to keep these events alive going into the new year. What does that look like?
Sponsorships: Whether monetarily or through items we can raffle to our members. Up until this last event, Wes and I have never charged for our time or for you to attend. We are thrilled that you still committed to attending with the $10 event charge, and will likely do that going forward to cover EventBrite fees, vendors, food, and alcohol. Our promise to you is to keep it affordable and worthwhile.
Volunteering: We could use your help! Wes and I would love to get a Martini Shot board together and make this thing official. Are you interested in behind the scenes event planning? We would love to have you! There are a wide variety of tasks we could share bandwidth on, from relationship building with potential partners to helping at the actual events.
Locations: Would you like to open your doors to working professionals in the industry? Let us know! We want to cater to all aspects of film, broadcast, rental, audio, creative, anything else - Provide us the location and we will take care of the rest.
Collaboration is key, and your commitment to community growth in the Chicago film scene is so important. Thanks for making it special.
